Our History
Historically, as many as 16 percent of the Billings-based Northern Rockies Radiation Oncology Center's patients have come from the Bighorn Basin region, especially the Cody and Powell area. With this in mind, the Center teamed up with Cody's West Park Hospital to construct and equip the Big Horn Basin Radiation Oncology Center at 1025 Ninth Street (corner of Ninth and Sheridan) in Cody. The Center opened in January of 1999. Now, an annual average of 20 percent of our total patients are treated at the new center in Cody.

The Big Horn Basin Radiation Oncology Center is electronically connected to the Northern Rockies Radiation Oncology Center, enabling the two installations to collaborate on a daily or even hourly basis about patient needs and radiation therapy planning.

Chemotherapy services are also available in the building, coordinated by Hematology Oncology Centers of the Northern Rockies, P.C. For information on the convenience of receiving chemo in Cody, please call HOCNR at 406-238-6290.
