What About My Bill &
All Those
Insurance Forms?
Your Bill
Your best contact for questions on your bill is the Business Office at the Northern
Rockies Radiation Oncology Center in Billings, MT. which handles all Big Horn Basin Radiation Oncology Center
billing procedures. Payment options are available. Phone 1-800-358-8818.
Your Insurance
We understand that cancer and its treatment cause stress on any family. To make this time
easier for you, we will file all of your insurance claims for you. We hope that this will
be of some assistance to you. If you wish to file the claims yourself, we will provide you
with a form to do so. If you need help with other health insurance forms -- not related to
the Big Horn Basin Radiation Oncology Center -- there may be other services in the Basin area which
can assist you. Please check with your doctor.
The Big Horn Basin Radiation Oncology Center accepts Medicare assignment and will file your Medicare
forms for you. Once Medicare has sent payment, we will file for any secondary benefits you
may have. If you are not covered by a secondary plan, we will bill you for any deductibles
and co-payments you are required to pay. A schedule of monthly payments can be arranged.
Feel free to ask questions. Again, the number is 1-800-358-8818 (billing office at the
Northern Rockies Radiation Oncology Center).
About ten days after your treatment begins, you will receive an estimate of Radiation Oncology Center
charges. This is not a bill. Even though the Center will bill your insurance company, you
will receive monthly statements from us to keep you informed of the status of your bill.
The Physicians' Charges
Please note that you will be receiving two different kinds of bills; One from the Radiation Oncology Center for the technical aspects of treatment, and one from
the Radiation Oncologist for his/her professional services. The doctors' (Dr. Frank Lamm and Dr. John Terry) billing office may be reached by calling (406)
259-5172.
Again, we urge you to discuss with our Business Office Staff
any questions you may have regarding treatment
costs and payment options.
The Big Horn Basin Radiation Oncology Center, as part of the Northern Rockies Radiation Oncology
Center, is a non-profit organization, and treats cancer patients regardless of their
ability to pay. In order to provide ongoing, up-to-date cancer treatment for area
patients, we must charge for our services. We do not receive any government funds or
grants, and we are not affiliated with the American Cancer Society. As a community-based
center, we rely on memorial donations and other gifts to help support us in providing
cancer treatment services.
