Information on Specific Kinds of Cancer
Both the Big Horn Basin Radiation Oncology Center and the Northern Rockies Radiation Oncology Center have dozens of pamphlets and booklets on specific types of cancer, often including information about treatment options.  Please feel free to stop by (1025 Ninth Street in Cody or 1041 N. 29th Street in Billings) and look through our literature or ask for items in particular. Again, our telephone number is (toll-free) 877-587-2955, or in Cody, 587-2955.

Another excellent resource for informational materials is the American Cancer Society. Wyoming residents can reach the ACS by calling 307-638-3331. The Billings, MT number is 406-256-7150.

The National Cancer Institute, an agency of the US Government, produces a great deal of information as well. Phone 1-800-422-6237. Be sure to ask about their "PDQ" service, which provides excellent material.

The American Institute for Cancer Research is another source. They are located in Washington, DC, phone 1-202-328-7744.

Your family physician or medical oncologist are also good sources. In addition, your local hospital may have an oncology department. Staff members are usually willing to help with questions as time and patient care schedules permit. The oncology departments at the two hospitals in Billings Deaconess/Billings Clinic , 406-657-4000, and Saint Vincent Healthcare,, 406-657-7000, may also have helpful resources to offer.
